According to the commercial companies’ federal law no: 2 of 2015, a UAE national must act as a local agent for foreign businesses setting up in the UAE Mainland. Our Approach:
- Freedom from Local Sponsor: Our customers enjoy total freedom from the UAE national sponsor for business in Dubai. We empower the foreign national with a special Power of Attorney to remove the UAE national at any point in time from the investor’s company.
- Memorandum of Understanding: We provide a memorandum of understanding to the investor to protect the profit and shares of the company. Our sponsor transfers or waives all the rights of the company to the foreign investor against the fixed sponsorship amount payable to him.
Types of Sponsors:
Individual Sponsors: Individual sponsors may be of any gender, but they must be UAE citizens aged 21 or older. While not mandated to have expertise in the specific business sector, it is recommended that they have a professional background, own a business, or hold a government position.
Corporate Sponsors: Corporate sponsors are business entities registered in the UAE. Only some corporate entities are eligible to be sponsors; they must possess the requisite government license for this role.
Local Service Agents: Local service agents are an option when establishing a professional services business. Foreign entrepreneurs can retain full ownership but must engage a service agent who will facilitate interactions with government authorities. These agents are compensated through an annual fee for their services.
